Doctor Who Shoes

And finally, my shoes. I love these shoes, I have to practice extreme self control in order to not wear them every day until I can go buy some sealant stuff to spray on them.

A runthrough of what I painted on each side:
the sides: 10/11's sonic screwdrivers with the words "geronimo" and "allons-y" next to their respective screwdrivers, a bowtie with the caption "bowties are cool", a weeping angel with the words "don't blink", and a dalek with the word "exterminate".
the backs: both have the doctor who logo that looks like a tardis. It's the one they started using when matt smith got there, and I must say, I think it was a pretty nifty idea. Both of the backs also have a small bbc logo on the outside.
the tops: the right shoe has a tardis floating on space (with the light on ) and says "bad wolf" and "fantastic" on the sides. the left shoe has a replica of the painting van gogh did to tell the doctor about what was going to happen at the end of season 5, the sides say "hello sweetie" and "spoilers"

The two shoes were each supposed to have their own theme, though it was kindof loosly interpreted. The right shoe is based on the doctor, which is why it has his screwdrivers and bowtie. The starry background behind the tardis also extends all the way to the back of the shoe. The left shoe, on the other hand, is more villian based. Though the painting on the front was actually to warn the doctor and strictly speaking it wasn't one of his enemies that blew up the tardis, I thought it still had enough of a "not good" feeling to fit in with the weeping angel and dalek. Like the stars on the right shoe, the swirls from the explosion extend to the back of the shoe.


I went so much into obsessed whovian mode for these shoes that it's not even funny. They took about 24 hours spread out over a week to finish, and definitely completed my themed outfit for the premier of season 7 last week.

And yes, I am going to sell shoes like these. I made an etsy account, I just need to finish adding all the info on it before I can open it, but it will probably be within the next week, I'll update this once I do that.
